Thank you so much for hosting my fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As a participant in May of 2006 for a fellow hiker, I had the privilege of attending a wonderful girls night out spa evening in your lovely home. I was so impressed with the services and the wonderful atmosphere that I approached you this year for my own Hike For Discovery LLS fundraiser event. True to your nature, the event was a wondrous success! All my guests were beyond satisfied with the ambience, pampering and incredible food. Everyone commented on how great they felt during and at the end of the evening and later even how well they slept that night. One friend said, "Sign me up for next year, I'll be here!" and another said, "It was fun, thanks for everything!". I cannot tell you how proud and happy I am to have brought my group to your retreat. The Diamonds in the Desert is outstanding and so are you for the support and service you make available for women!

I have experienced both the Spa Retreat at Lisa's private home as well as the rustic retreat in the San Tan Mountains. Both experiences were exceptional and beyond my expectations. The decor in the mountains provided us with a cozy setting for my girlfriends surprise birthday party. We enjoyed fajitas on the patio in the backyard and stayed up late around the campfire making smores and sipping wine. A birthday we all enjoyed!

The spa retreat at Lisa's private home provided the perfect setting for our group of Ladies from a local children's home who much needed the break. The atmosphere was completely relaxing with candles and lush decor. Lisa provided a beautiful spread of desserts, appetizers and drinks for our group. Every lady (and there were almost 30 of us!) received special treatment while they were massaged and pampered. I know this is an experience that they will never forget!

The end of last year was a rough time for me, 2 blows just months apart....dealing with the loss of my very best friend who died tragically in a car accident at the age of 48 and my closest cousin whose battle with cancer laid her to rest at the age of 35....she passed away just 1 month after having her first child. I can say with sincerity that although I achingly miss my loved ones, I have no personal regrets because I loved, appreciated and made TIME for them while they were STILL HERE. I believe that we are to truly LIVE by BEING THERE for others....to enjoy our family and friends while we are blessed with their presence. No one knows the hour or the day that they will no longer be with us, so we are to SAVOR them RIGHT NOW!! Too often we are WAY too busy to chat with a neighbor, have lunch with a friend, call a relative, or even take a second to hug our husband and say "I appreciate you". If we took time to SLOW DOWN just a little bit, what a difference our lives could make and how terrific we would feel in the process! I have been blessed with the opportunity to hostess a Girls Night In event with my dearest friends earlier last year. It was a perfect combination of bliss....fun, fellowship, pampering, & much needed relaxation. I was able to connect with my friends on a different level....there were no distractions, just me and them. It is a memory I will cherish forever especially since my very best friend, who is now in Heaven, was in attendance. Make memories now, take those simple moments to cherish yourself & those around you and what you'll leave at the end of your days is a legacy of love.
